Studio Policy
Frequency of Lessons
Lessons must be at least once a week. Students can have lessons up to 2-3 times a week. This creates the perfect environment for a student to progress twice as fast.
Tuition
Lessons are paid for at the beginning of each month (cash, check, Venmo, or Zelle).

Payments must be made by the 7th of every month. Payments made later than the 7th are charged a $25 late fee.
Practice
Practice is an important part of the student's success in learning the piano. It is not helpful to say that a student must practice a specific amount of time a day, but rather, to pick what goals they want to achieve that day and to accomplish those.

Parents should help their student when needed and encourage them to practice over the week. I provide my students and parents with handouts on how to efficiently practice and help their child gravitate towards practicing.
Expectations of the Student
Students are expected to show up to lessons with an open mind and enthusiasm to learn and grow. They are required to bring the necessary materials and books to every lesson. Students must be prepared and be ready to work.
Photo, Video, and Media
Photography and videos of the student from recitals and lessons can be used for social media purposes or this website. If you would prefer otherwise, please let me know.
Make-Up Lessons, Tardiness, and Illness
If I need to reschedule for any reason, we will schedule a make-up lesson right away. In order to offer a make-up lesson to a cancelation on the student's part, the student must give me a notice of at least 24 hours before the lesson time if they need to reschedule. There are no refunds for missed lessons.

If a student is tardy, they only get the lesson for the allotted time period. For example, if they are ten minutes late to a 30 minute lesson, they will only receive a 20 minute lesson. For lessons that are in-home, I will wait at most for ten minutes for you to arrive, if the student is over ten minutes late, I reserve the right to leave and cancel the lesson.

If a student is at all sick, they must stay home. We can opt to do a virtual lesson via Zoom if your student is feeling well enough to be up.
Termination of Lessons
If a students wishes to discontinue lessons, I must know at least 30 days in advance.
Discounts
I only offer two types of discounts:

2. Referral discounts: Parents who refer new students receive $40 off on one month's tuition when the new/referred students sign up for their first month's lessons.
